The following Parawing’s have been released and are available to purchase.
The original Parawing, BRM were first to market with the widely recognised white Maliko. Many other brands have since launched their Parawing’s, but the BRM remains a solid choice and is responsible for a lot of the hype in the category.
Just in case you didn’t think the industry was moving fast enough already, here it is already. The second generation of Parawing’s from BRM with 3 models. The Maliko 2 is the downwind focussed model in the new lineup, with focus being on power and and pack down.
The Kanaha is part of the second generation BRM Parawing’s, designed for those who want to do upwind / downwinders. This Parawing still packs down super small, but has increased upwind performance over the Maliko 2.
The Ka’a is part of the second generation BRM Parawing’s, designed for those who want to do add some surfing into their Parawing game with improved responsiveness and a wider wind range.
The Paia is the latest release in the BRM Parawing range, delivering the first double skin Parawing from BRM.
Initially only offered in a 3M size, the Roger was launched at the start of 2025. The Roger offers a different bar setup than the other available options, with the ability to attach a leash to a de-power line, similar to a kite. The Roger also incorporates a coloured leading edge and colour coding on the lines for easy untangling and launch. Ensis Pro Rider Balz Müller has shown that the Parawing is not limited to downwind activities, and can offer new freestyle options with footage of backflips and spins on his socials.
The Frigate Parawing from F-One looks like a pretty conventional Parawing, with all the things we love. Single skin, color coded lines, color coded leading edge.
This one is the strangest on this list, the Plume from F-One is much more of a kite than a Parawing. In fact F-One are now calling this a new category – ‘K-Wing‘.
It has an inflatable leading edge and therefore the stow and re-deploy process is more like a wing than a parawing, with the K-Wing held upside down by its leading edge to flag out like a wing.
What is the use case for this? Would you pick this over a Wing, Kite or Parawing? We are not certain, but I am not sure many could have foreseen the Parawing or even the Wing not that long ago.
Flow is an established Paraglider manufacturer, and their D-Wing was released in Jan 2025 with a number of enhancements to the available Parawing’s on the market. The most significant is the de-power offered by this wing, with the ability to fly it entirely on the front lines, increasing the usable conditions in the upper end of the wind range. The D-Wing also introduced a coloured leading edge, and different colours for front, middle and rear lines, all things that make use a lot easier especially when launching the Parawing from the water.
Flysurfer have been a popular option in the DIY category with custom bridles on the Peak kite, but now Flysurfer have released their own Parawing, the Pop Out Wing or POW.
Gong Lowkite
In early 2025 Gong released 4 models under the ‘Lowkite’ name. The Pulse, Nuetra, Droid and Plus. Having such a large range in a new category is a bold move, and helpfully Gong have provided a blog post explaining some of the key differences between each model.
The Pulse is targeted at first time Parawing users. This is a single skin kite, and is the most simple to launch and stow with a short bridle and a wing shape aimed at stability.
The Nuetra is also a single skin wing, and most similar to competitor Parawing’s. The Nuetra Lowkite is targeted at users who want to downwind, with a focus on minimal size and maximum power.
The Droid is a double-skin RAM-air wing, with a focus on stable upwind and freestyle performance.
The Plus is also a double-skin RAM-air wing, with a higher aspect ratio it is designed for those who want to ride fast.
The Naish Morph launched in April 2025 with a strong feature set – color coded lines, a color coded leading edge, and a pulley bridle to adjust the wing shape, similar to the Triple Seven P.T.
Pre-orders have just been announced in March 2025. Keep an eye out for reviews soon!
Pre-orders have been announced with deliveries expected from late March 2025. Keep an eye out for reviews soon!
The Triple Seven P.T. or ‘ParaTow Wing’ is the first double skinned RAM-air wing in the Parawing category. In addition to the canopy innovation, Triple Seven have also introduced the ‘Servo Camber Bar’, using an adjustable bridle system that allows the rider to change the camber of the wing by adjusting the bar position fore and aft. If the Five-O Pocket Wing is the smallest and most simple, the P.T. stands at the opposite end as the most complicated (and likely heavy). For experienced riders who won’t be fulling that RAM-air with water every few minutes, and who want performance for extended riding (upwind-downwind?) this is an interesting option.
Windmaster Kites from Russia have been posted regular shots of their Parawing since December 2024 in Black and White editions, and from early 2025 have been making Parawing’s to order. Contact via their WhatsApp account if you want to get your hands on one.
Rumoured
The following Parawing’s are unconfirmed or rumoured. Some have been spotted in the wild, but will they ever make it to the water near you?
Triple Seven P.T. Skin
Following on from the double skin P.T., Triple Seven have announced that they will shortly be releasing the P.T. skin, a single skin Parawing.
Kitech Dwing Up&Down
The Dwing Up&Down by Kitech was teased on Kitech’s social media accounts in early January with a launch imminent, but little new since. We are not sure what the final model name will be or when this will be available, but there is a placeholder category on their website called ‘Dwing’
AFS
Other than a photo of a Parawing on the ground with an AFS logo on it that surfaced on an online forum in mid January, we don’t know anything else about this one yet.
Pansh
All we have is a video of a land flight of a prototype Parawing and an empty category called ‘Parawing (NEW!)’ on the Pansh website. We dont know when this one is coming, but the prototype looks interesting with what appear to be a RAM-air leading edge and 5 struts. This definitely looks different to everything else we have seen make it to market.
ELF Kites
We don’t know anything about the Parawing from ELF Kites, other than it apparently comes in a 3.4m size and has a unique 4 line bridle coming off the bar.
SMIK
A prototype Parawing from SMIK has been spotted in the wild. This wing appears to have 4 control lines, with A & B both connecting to the front of the bar.
Naish Hatch
The V2 Parawing from Naish was announced at 2025 AWSI and expected to be available in late 2025.
Alternative Options
Looking for other options to get on foil with the wind that aren’t winging, kite or wind foiling?
The Pocket Wing has been around longer than the term Parawing, and is quite a different device, but it deserves mention in this category. Flown with two small handles (think of a large plastic bag), the Pocket Wing by Five-O is the choice for those who want the smallest, most simple solution.
The Elvolve Exowing is the least ‘Parawing’ like device in this category. The Exowing is a collapsable rigid wing, able to be folded up and worn like a sling once up and riding, Whilst it has the advantage of holding its shape and not turning into a wet jellyfish when the wind drops, it is yet to be seen if this concept has legs in the new Parawing world.
Worth a mention is the Wing anchor. Dave West recently posted an interesting use of the wing anchor combined with the Parawing for learning which expands the use-case for this unique device.
DIY
Since this category launched, we have seen a number of DIY versions, often repurposing similar kites with custom bridles. The Flysurfer Peak4 is an existing single skin foil kite that comes in sizes down to 3M, lending itself to a reasonably simple DIY Parawing conversion. Another well documented DIY Parawing build can be seen at https://parakite.fr/
